Pharmprobeg and Bosnalek teamed up to support technology transfer topics

Bosnalek International Pharmaceutical Company became a partner of the I All-Russian Pharmaceutical Rally in Kaluga, where on the fourth day of the rally at the round table, experts will raise the topic of technology transfer as a factor in increasing the availability of medicines.

Technology transfer is a large-scale process of transferring scientific and technical knowledge from one production line to another to recreate the drug formulation. The technology transfer process consists of several major stages, from scientific development to the moment of consumption. The success of each of them depends on the conformity of documentation, production process, staff training and many other factors.

“The availability of quality medicines for the population is a key objective consolidating the pharmaceutical industry. The processes of market harmonization, technology transfer and production localization are the basis for its solution, ”said Valentina Buchneva, Head of Eurasia Business Unit, Bosnalek JSC. “Together with the participants of the Pharmaceutical Run, we want to contribute to the development of the industry and become part of these processes, since our goals coincide completely. In the format of a lively discussion that brings together representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare and public administration institutions, we plan to discuss key issues facing drug manufacturers today. ”

Today, pharmaceutical companies are increasingly announcing the launch of full-cycle production, while the creation of drugs is often limited to the process of manufacturing a dosage form from finished raw materials. A full-fledged technology transfer involves the full relocation of production from abroad to Russia – this process requires large time, labor and financial resources. As a result of the transfer, the company must maintain the effectiveness, safety and quality of the drug. This can only be realized if all GMP requirements are met. Thus, the problems of transfer of modern pharmaceutical technologies affect regulators, manufacturers, the scientific community, and their joint work affects the availability of medicines for the end user.
