From May 27 to June 3, 2019, a large-scale event will be held – the I All-Russian Pharmaceutical Run, the key theme of which will be drug provision: quality and availability.
Drug supply in the regions of Russia is a fragile system with many elements. Availability of drugs and their quality, availability of drugs from the Vital and Essential Drug List and pricing mechanisms, issues of drug insurance, import substitution, a system for determining preferential categories of citizens and their provision of medicines.
The aim of the project is to attract public attention to pressing issues of drug supply in Russia, as well as the development and support of the entire industry chain: from manufacturers, distributors, the pharmacy segment to medical communities and patient organizations.
Participants of the Pharmaceutical Run with an organized transport convoy, each vehicle of which will be assigned a serial number, will pass through 11 cities of Russia: St. Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Sergiev Posad, Moscow, Kaluga, Ryazan, Penza, Saransk, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan. In each of the cities, events and large-scale PR actions dedicated to the problems of drug provision will be held.

Director of the FSUE “GILS and NP” Shestakov Vladislav Nikolaevich appreciated the future event as consolidating segments b2b and b2c in the country’s pharmaceutical market: “We are used to the fact that regulators and drug manufacturers discuss quality issues at conferences and forums and availability of drugs. Pharmacy chains and consumers – specialized associations – Roszdravnadzor and the Russian Ministry of Health are conducting activities on preferential provision. Within the framework of the Pharmaceutical Run, all participants in the pharmaceutical market will unite. I believe that it is no coincidence that the named cities were chosen as the organizers – the largest factories that have been producing domestic medicines since the last century, and modern production facilities located in pharmaceutical clusters and successfully passed the GMP audit are based here. ”
Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences, chief doctor of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “National Research Institute of Public Health named after N. A. Semashko” Khabriev Ramil Usmanovich shared his opinion on the Farm Run: “Last year more than doubled Since 2015, the number of appeals to Roszdravnadzor regarding the provision of medicines to persons with the corresponding benefit has increased. The number of citizens who have refused a set of social services is growing annually – in 26 constituent entities of the Russian Federation their share is 80-90 percent. Moreover, there are regions where this indicator ranges from 26 to 49 percent, which indicates significant reserves for improving this work. I hope that the Farm Run will not only reveal the existing problems, but also allow us to summarize the positive experience of supporting socially vulnerable layers of our citizens. ”

Varvara Kazhberova, director of the Media Institute for Public Health, sees broad prospects for the development of new areas: “Public ratings, information openness – all this benefits the pharmaceutical market, which is still quite conservative. For example, I have been planning for a long time to realize the idea of a bank of medical photo images together with market participants and large media players. The photobank goes well with the concept of the rally, and we will launch this project together with our partner. ”
