Half of Russians have difficulty in purchasing medicines due to lack of funds, two thirds have encountered poor-quality drugs, and almost 90% believe that the current drug supply system in the country should be changed. These are the results of the patient study “Quality and Availability of Medicines-2019”. According to experts, Russia should switch from preferential provision of medicines to certain categories of citizens to medical insurance for all.
